On April 25, 2025, over 300 supporters gathered at the Grand Hall in Midtown Manhattan for our Annual Fundraising Gala, “Stars of Tomorrow.” The evening honored our mission, celebrated community partnerships, and raised critical funds to expand our inclusive programs.

Evening Program & Honorees

Host Jane Ramirez (WNYC anchor) kicked off the night with a welcome address, highlighting key 2024 achievements:

• Served 18,500 participants across camps, retreats, and training programs.
• Trained 10,200 educators in positive behavior supports.
• Awarded 250 full and partial camp scholarships.

This year’s Community Impact Award went to the Dyson Foundation for a five-year, $500,000 commitment to our Sensory Learning Lab. Dyson CEO Mark Thompson accepted on behalf of his team, noting, “Inclusive play spaces change lives—these investments empower children to learn without limits.”

Live Auction & Fund-A-Need

Auctioneer Sarah Liu led spirited bidding on unique items:

• Private cooking lesson with Chef Elena Martinez ($12,000 final bid).
• Signed Broadway playbill collection ($9,500).
• Weekend retreat package in the Hudson Valley ($8,000).

During the Fund-A-Need segment, attendees raised $150,000 in under ten minutes for our Camper Scholarship Fund—enough to sponsor 50 under-resourced campers for full sessions.

Entertainment & Networking

Guests enjoyed performances by our camper choir (singing “Seasons of Love”) and a contemporary dance troupe from Riverside Arts Center. Between courses—crafted by farm-to-table caterer GreenLeaf—the crowd networked, sharing stories about the transformative power of our programs.

Financial Outcomes & Next Steps

• Gross Revenue: $650,000
• Net Proceeds: $590,000 (after expenses)
• Allocation: 60% to camp scholarships; 25% to Trainer Fellowship program; 15% to facility enhancements.
